Universal Lift Lid Desk

This desk is a classic and one of the most popular models, particularly for elementary schools.

• Lifetime structural warranty on the frame which is made of a stronger 1-1/2÷ 12 gauge base tube, and 1÷ 14 gauge legs welded and chrome plated.
• Backtubes - 1" diameter x 16" gauge tubular steel (model 700).
• Backtubes - 1" diameter x 14 gauge tubular steel (model 701).
• Desk top comes in 18÷ x 24÷ fiberesin wood laminate or hard plastic ?melamine÷, 5/8÷ thick, for added durability. Top can also be ordered with optional 3/4÷ MDF with armor edge for added protection. Desk top is attached to book box using a piano hinge and two heavy duty spring controls which allows lid to remain open at any height without additional support.
• Book box is constructed of 20 gauge drawn steel with upper edges curled for safety. The sides and bottom of the book box are embossed for added strength and stability. The book box measures 21-1/2" wide x 15-3/4" long x 4-3/4" deep. A full length pencil tray is welded to the inside of the bookbox. The desk top is attached to the bookbox using a piano hinge and two heavy duty spring controls.
• Seat/back is 5/8÷ thick solid molded melamine plastic which provides permanent color throughout the thickness.
• Desk top heights: 12" to 15" (model 700) and 26-3/4" to 31" (model 701)

• A painted bookbox and backrest support, base with Nevermar glides, and a 5/8" thick solid melemine seat and backrest. Note beige or black when ordering.
