Disaster Relief for Schools

Our mission is to help students and schools affected by natural disasters and other crises return to normalcy as soon, and as efficiently, as possible.

Tomorrows Classroom was the first retailer in the educational marketplace to respond after Hurricane Katrina. We quickly developed the "Rebuilding Schools" and "Sponsor a Child" programs. Our team worked overtime to identify the specific needs of affected school districts, and then coordinated with charities and volunteers to get those needs met — fast.

We solicited donations from our vendors based on needs, and then coordinated delivery to ensure each item reached its designated location. Other classroom furniture suppliers soon followed our lead by offering discounted pricing and other aid to schools affected by Hurricane Katrina.

Rebuilding Our Schools

The "Rebuilding Schools" program helps school districts easily obtain necessary classroom furniture, equipment and supplies, such as computers, desks, chairs and whiteboards, as they prepare to reopen after a natural disaster or other crisis through donations and special Disaster Relief Pricing.

If your school has specific needs, send us a Wish List. We'll work with our vendors, customers, charities and other volunteers to locate and deliver the items to you.

Sponsor a Child Fundraiser Program

Following Hurricane Katrina, our "Sponsor A Child Program" worked in conjunction with Kare 4 Kidz and other charity organizations to collect school supplies and distribute them to students in need. As part of this program, we featured a backpack kit that people could purchase and donate to students in need. Hundreds of these backpacks, stuffed with school supplies, were distributed to students along the Gulf Coast after Katrina.
